From 9–11 January 2025, students from across Europe came together in Murcia, Spain, for a vibrant weekend of cultural exchange, collaboration, and new experiences.

The weekend began with warm introductions and icebreaker activities, helping everyone feel at ease while trying out fun language games. Students took part in a language exchange and shared unique aspects of their cultures through engaging presentations. “Learning things about other cultures was incredible for me because I didn’t know a lot about typical games, customs, and food from other countries,” one student reflected.
The highlight of the second day was a hands-on workshop at “El Huertanico.” Students explored sustainable farming practices, tasted local Murcian dishes, and discussed climate solutions.
On the final morning, students shared their takeaways, from building friendships across borders to improving communication skills. One participant said, “The most important thing I learned is that even if I meet someone from a different place, we can still communicate and start a friendship.”
Teachers saw remarkable growth in their students, with one noting, “It was especially rewarding to see the shyest participant forming friendships and communicating in English.”
This weekend was more than just a school activity—it was an inspiring step toward understanding, collaboration, and a shared future.
